Parents and other authority figures heavily influence a childs worldview. . by age 15, i was fully involved with growing up, dealing with the international new rage of hormones coursing through my body - replete with acne, body odor, and unbidden erections - and preparing myself for the adult world. . i kept pulling the straight A's and was at the top of nearly all of my classes, from kindergarten through my college diploma. My parents sent me to europe for two months in the summer of 1974, just after I had turned 16, as part of a student tour that studied the Old Worlds art and culture. . It was an intense tour that visited nine nations (we would have also visited Turkey, but the cyprus War was being waged) and about 50 cathedrals, 50 museums, and most noteworthy cultural relics in continental Western Europe. . The students were the tour guides, and each became an expert for part of the tour, after signing up for what they wanted to lead.
